Programme 2026
Pesenggiri Festival 2026 is not a single stage — it is a journey. Across the beachfront grounds of Lampung Marriott Resort & Spa, we have built seven curated zones, each shaped around a different way of meeting Lampung: through performance, through flavour, through making, through conversation. You can spend a full day in one zone, or wander through all of them at your own pace.
Here is what awaits you.
The Pesenggiri Masterclass
Where heritage is taught by the hands that carry it.
At Pesenggiri, we believe culture is best understood in close proximity — not from a distance, not behind glass, but at the same table as the people who keep it alive. Our Masterclass programme invites you into intimate sessions with Indonesia's most respected practitioners: chefs, herbalists, designers, artisans, perfumers, and storytellers who have spent their lives mastering a single craft.
This is not a lecture series. It is a meeting. You'll roll your sleeves up, taste, touch, ask questions, and walk away with something you've made with your own hands — and something you've learned from someone who knows.

Dapur Kawan Bersama
Food is the heart of every culture. We cannot do great things alone.
Dapur Kawan Bersama — "The Kitchen of Friends, Together" — is Pesenggiri's living culinary collective. It is not a food court. It is a gathering of Lampung's and Indonesia's most thoughtful kitchens, brought together for three days to cook, share, and tell the story of who we are through what we eat.
From heritage warungs to fine-dining houses, from grandmothers' recipes to modern reinterpretations, Dapur Kawan Bersama is where Indonesian cuisine arrives in its fullest form: rooted, generous, and proudly local.

Wellness Morning
The festival begins before the festival begins.
While the main grounds of Pesenggiri come alive with performance, food, and conversation through the day, our Wellness Morning programme opens each festival day at a slower, gentler pace — held at first light, by the sea, in the quiet space before the world wakes up.
This is Pesenggiri's other side. The side that remembers that harmony — harmony — is one of the words in our name.
If the rest of the festival is a celebration of culture meeting the world, Wellness Morning is a return inward. A space to breathe before the day arrives. A reminder that Indonesian heritage is not only loud and bright, but also still, slow, and deeply healing.

Temu Rasa & Rupa
A Meeting of Taste and Form.
Temu Rasa & Rupa is the heart of Pesenggiri's marketplace — a curated open-air gathering of Indonesia's most thoughtful makers, growers, and culinary keepers. The name itself tells the story: temu (to meet), rasa (taste, feeling), rupa (form, appearance). It is where flavour meets craft, where farmer meets traveller, where the things we eat and the things we hold sit side by side under the same Lampung sky.
This is not a generic bazaar. Every stall has been chosen by hand. Every maker has a story we know. Every product carries a piece of Indonesia worth keeping.

Pesenggiri Swarnadwipa
The Island of Gold, Remembered.
Long before Sumatra had its modern name, the world called it Swarnadwipa — the Island of Gold. Ancient traders crossed oceans to reach its shores, drawn not by the metal itself, but by something more valuable: its spices, its grain, its stories, and the harbours that opened to every traveller who came in peace.
Swarnadwipa is Pesenggiri's signature performance — the beating heart of the festival, and the night we have spent two years building. It is dance, music, ritual, and theatre woven into a single immersive experience, performed nightly under the open sky at Lampung Marriott Resort & Spa.
This is the show that gathers everything Pesenggiri stands for and brings it onto one stage.

Sunset Sundowner
Evening painting, art, and the slowest hour of the day.
As the heat of the day softens and the sun begins its long descent into the Lampung sea, Pesenggiri's festival grounds shift into their most beautiful hour. We call this time Sunset Sundowner — a gentle, unhurried programme of art-making, music, and golden-light gathering that closes each festival day before the night's main performances begin.
If Wellness Morning is the festival's quiet beginning, Sundowner is its golden pause. The hour between the day's work and the night's celebration. The hour you'll remember most.

Food at the Heart of the Journey
Every road that ever mattered passed through a kitchen.
Long before Pesenggiri was a festival, it was an idea — that the story of Indonesia, and the story of Lampung at its centre, has always been told most truly through food.
Not through monuments. Not through borders. Through the slow pounding of sambal in a stone mortar. Through the smell of cloves drying in the sun. Through the rice that travels by sea, the spices that travel by hand, and the grandmothers whose recipes are the only history books that have never been wrong.
Food is how we remember who we are. It is how we welcome guests, how we mourn, how we celebrate, how we mark the seasons, how we begin again. At Pesenggiri, food is not a side programme. It is the centre of everything.
