Ms Selphie Bong
Co-Founder The Hurun & Pesenggiri Festival Director
Founder & Initiator — Pesenggiri Festival · Co-Founder & CEO, The Hurun
Selphie Bong is an Indonesian fashion designer, cultural advocate, and creative entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of heritage, sustainability, hospitality, and women's empowerment. With nearly two decades of practice across Lampung, Jakarta, and Singapore, she has built a body of work defined by one conviction — that culture must be lived, not merely displayed.
She is the conceptual architect and producing force behind Pesenggiri Festival — a privately-initiated cultural celebration she founded and continues to lead.
The Mind Behind Pesenggiri
Pesenggiri began as Selphie's vision: a festival rooted in Pi'il Pesenggiri, the Lampungese philosophy of integrity, cultural pride, and community spirit — staged on Lampung soil, with Lampung voices, but with the production standards and curatorial ambition of an international platform.
She conceived the festival as more than an annual event. It is a living archive of Nusantara identity — a stage where heritage meets contemporary expression, where local artisans share space with national luminaries, and where the philosophy of Pi'il Pesenggiri is not lectured about, but enacted through every dish served, every dance performed, and every conversation hosted.
Under her direction, the inaugural Pesenggiri 2025 — Threads of Tradition was successfully delivered at Lampung Marriott Resort & Spa (20–21 June 2025), drawing senior government attendance including the Deputy Minister of Culture and the Governor of Lampung.
She is currently producing the festival's second edition — Pesenggiri 2026 — Spice, Heritage & Harmony (3–5 July 2026) — building on Pesenggiri's foundation to position Lampung as a cultural destination on the national and international stage.
Co-Founder & CEO, The Hurun

Overseeing The Hurun Lembaga Konservasi — a bird sanctuary and conservation initiative on the 8-hectare beachfront estate.
Building Yayasan Kanvas Satu Bumi as a platform for heritage preservation, cultural programming, and community empowerment.
